Campus flags lowered for the National Day of Mourning
April 28 is National Day of Mourning. This is a time to remember those who have lost their lives, suffered injury or illness on the job, or experienced a work-related tragedy. McMaster’s flags are lowered today in recognition of the day. A small ceremony open to the McMaster community will also take place today from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Council Chambers in Gilmour Hall. Day of Mourning also serves as an opportunity to collectively renew our commitment to health and safety in the workplace to prevent future injuries and tragedies.
