“Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, held talks with Amr Sobhy, Chairperson of Concentrix Egypt, to discuss the company’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market, efforts to create new employment opportunities, and prospects for strengthening cooperation in digital skills development and training initiatives. Concentrix Egypt, which specialises in outsourcing services, business process management, and call centre operations, plans to expand its presence into five additional governorates and increase its workforce by approximately 11,000 employees over the next two years. The expansion would bring the company’s total workforce in Egypt to around 35,000 employees by the end of 2028. The company had previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in January 2025 to expand its operations in Egypt through investments estimated at approximately $1bn, with the goal of creating 16,000 new jobs by the end of 2028. Hindi said the company’s continued implementation of its expansion strategy and growing investments in Egypt, alongside the rapid growth it has achieved in both employment and geographic expansion, reflect the attractiveness of Egypt’s business environment and the increasing confidence of global companies in the country as a hub for outsourcing services and digital exports. He noted that Egypt continues to attract international outsourcing firms thanks to its advanced digital infrastructure, favourable investment climate, and a large pool of qualified young talent capable of delivering services to global markets. The minister reaffirmed the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s commitment to expanding specialised training programmes designed to prepare young people for the global labour market and align skills development with industry requirements. He added that these efforts support the expansion of technology and outsourcing companies in Egypt, create high-quality employment opportunities, and contribute to increasing the country’s digital exports. For his part, Sobhy outlined the company’s growth trajectory in Egypt, noting that its workforce has expanded from around 150 employees when operations began in 2009 to approximately 24,000 employees today. He said Egypt has become the company’s third-largest operational hub worldwide among the 72 countries in which it operates, ranking behind only India and the Philippines, while also serving as its largest operational centre in the Middle East and Africa region. According to Sobhy, Concentrix plans to increase its workforce to 28,000 employees by the end of 2026, rising to 31,000 employees in 2027 and reaching 35,000 employees within the following two years, supported by annual growth of around 20%. The company currently operates 13 centres across several governorates and intends to establish five additional centres over the next two years, including new locations in Delta and Upper Egypt governorates as part of its strategy to expand beyond major urban centres. The meeting also reviewed the company’s plans to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into operations management and customer service functions, enhancing efficiency and service quality across its business operations. Discussions further covered Concentrix’s partnerships with universities and technology parks aimed at training young talent and ensuring that educational programmes are aligned with labour market needs. The two sides explored opportunities to expand training-for-employment initiatives focused on preparing young people for careers in outsourcing services, technical specialisations, and foreign-language support roles, particularly in German, French, and Spanish. Concentrix Egypt currently provides services in 12 languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, serving clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, Canada, and South America. Its operations support a broad range of industries, including e-commerce, telecommunications, tourism, technology, banking, fintech, healthcare, media, and transportation, reinforcing Egypt’s growing position as a regional and global centre for business process outsourcing and digital services exports.
