Form Six student killed in three-vehicle crash while heading home in Sabak Bernam
KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — A Form Six student’s journey home turned tragic when she was killed in a three-vehicle crash along Jalan Kampung Tengah in Sabak Bernam yesterday evening. In the 6pm incident, the 19-year-old victim, who studied at Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Form Six College, was pronounced dead at the scene from severe injuries. Sabak Bernam district police chief Superintendent Md Yusof Ahmad said the crash involved a Honda RS150 motorcycle, a Yamaha 135LC motorcycle and a Ford Econovan van. “The incident occurred when the Honda RS150 crashed into the rear of the Yamaha 135LC, which was slowing down to turn into a junction on the left side of the road. “The impact caused the victim to lose control before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with the Ford Econovan,” he said when contacted. Md Yusof said the rider suffered severe head injuries after falling from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. “The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Witnesses are urged to contact Inspector Mohd Shaifuddin Mohd Nor at 017-6645812 to assist in the investigation,” he said.
