Forty-five years on, Keda still driving rural transformation in Kedah, says Zahid
KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — The Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) has continued to play its role as a catalyst agent in accelerating holistic rural transformation throughout its 45 years of establishment since 1981. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said KEDA’s journey over more than four decades has been marked by sacrifices and achievements in transforming the landscape of rural development in Kedah. “Alhamdulillah, KEDA continues to play its role as a catalyst agent in accelerating holistic rural transformation encompassing both worldly and spiritual aspects for the well-being of rural communities. “I believe KEDA’s true strength lies in the sincerity of all its personnel who remain close to rural communities and understand the pulse of the people,” he said in a Facebook post today in conjunction with the agency’s 45th anniversary celebration. Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, expressed hope that KEDA would continue to be a caring, responsive and committed agency in championing the rural development agenda. He also conveyed his 45th anniversary greetings to all KEDA personnel and hoped the agency would continue to progress and remain among the important institutions driving the advancement of rural areas and regions in the country. — Bernama
