Four hurt, including two children, in five-vehicle crash on LPT2 near Paka
DUNGUN, May 27 — Four people, including two children, were injured while 14 others escaped unharmed in a five-vehicle accident at Kilometre 337.7 of the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) near the Paka Rest and Service Area (R&R) here yesterday evening. Paka Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Senior Fire Officer II Mohd Bakri Abdul Rahman said in the 7.30 pm incident, all four victims who were injured were travelling in a Nissan Almera. “The injured victims were taken to Dungun Hospital for further treatment,” he said when contacted. He said those who escaped unhurt included two individuals travelling in a Toyota Vios and another two in a Proton Persona. He added that six, including four children, were travelling in a Toyota Vellfire, while another four, including two children in a Perodua Ativa, were also not injured. “Our personnel monitored everyone involved to ensure there were no other injured victims at the scene who required hospital treatment,” he said. — Bernama
