Gulf countries, GCC condemn strikes on Kuwait The UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have condemned the missile strike on a US base in Kuwait, in statements shared by their foreign ministries on social media, while the head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) also denounced the strike. The GCC statement from Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi called the attack a “flagrant violation” of international law and gave “full support for the state of Kuwait in all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents”.
