“KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — Operating hours for Bukit Jalil LRT Station will be extended until 12.30am on Sunday to accommodate spectators attending the Malaysia Cup final between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Kuching City FC at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil. The final is scheduled to kick off at 9pm tomorrow. Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) said in a statement yesterday that train operating hours for both the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line and the Putrajaya Line would also be extended to facilitate passenger movement after the match concludes. Only Sungai Besi Station will remain open for passengers transferring from the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line to the Putrajaya Line, the statement said. “Other stations on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line and the Putrajaya Line will close as usual, but passengers can still exit at any station along those lines to continue their journey home,” the statement read. Rapid Rail also advised spectators to plan their journeys in advance and encouraged them to use Park N’ Ride facilities at selected stations along the Ampang/Sri Petaling and Putrajaya lines. Passengers are urged to use Touch ‘n Go cards or contactless payment methods to avoid congestion. Commuters are also encouraged to purchase their return tokens in advance. “Rapid KL will deploy additional staff at strategic locations to assist passengers throughout the extended operation period,” the statement added. Further information on the Rapid KL service schedule and Park N’ Ride facilities is available on its website at www.myrapid.com.my . — Bernama
