High Court halts Negeri Sembilan DKU meeting, bars chiefs from removing secretary Raja Norazli
SEREMBAN, June 5 — The High Court today stepped in to halt a planned Dewan Keadilan dan Undang Negeri Sembilan (DKU) meeting and blocked attempts to remove its secretary, Raja Norazli Raja Nordin, until the case is heard in full. Judge Roz Mawar Rozain granted temporary injunctions after Raja Norazli and the DKU applied to preserve the status quo of the body’s administration. The orders mean the plaintiffs cannot convene any DKU meetings — including the Special Sitting announced for today — nor interfere with Raja Norazli’s role. They are also barred from setting up committees to take over his powers or making decisions that change how the DKU is run. The injunctions remain in force until the court decides on jurisdiction and other preliminary issues, or until further order. With the ruling, the plaintiffs are prevented from removing Raja Norazli, conducting DKU affairs, or issuing press statements on DKU matters. This comes after Raja Norazli had earlier rejected his suspension by several ruling chiefs, insisting it was “devoid of legal effect” as only the Yang di‑Pertuan Besar could remove him.
