Israel says strikes targeted Hezbollah sites across southern Lebanon
Israel says strikes targeted Hezbollah sites across southern Lebanon The Israeli military said its forces struck multiple sites linked to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon over the past day, claiming several fighters were killed and around 25 targets hit. The army said Israeli jets targeted “several buildings” where Hezbollah fighters “were operating inside them”, including what it described as a weapons depot and other “terror infrastructures”. Since 2 March, Israeli operations in southern Lebanon have intensified, with widespread bombardment and ground incursions reported across towns and villages. Nearly 2,700 people, including medical workers and journalists, have been killed and more than 1.2 million displaced, despite a ceasefire announced on 16 April 16 by US President Donald Trump.
