Israeli raids, settler attacks escalate across occupied West Bank
Israeli raids, settler attacks escalate across occupied West Bank The occupied West Bank saw a wave of Israeli military raids, arrests and settler attacks overnight on Friday, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. Settlers reportedly set fire to a house in the village of al-Lubban Asharqiya, south of Nablus, prompting Palestinian Civil Defence crews to respond and extinguish the blaze. In Jenin, residents of al-Asa’asa village were reportedly forced by Israeli troops to exhume the body of a Palestinian man buried earlier in the day and relocate it, after soldiers claimed the grave site was too close to an Israeli settlement. Israeli forces also fired stun grenades at Palestinians picnicking near Solomon’s Pools, south of Bethlehem, to disperse them from the area. The Palestine Red Crescent Society said two people were treated for tear gas inhalation and five others evacuated from the scene.
