“JOHOR BAHRU, May 18 — Johor State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi yesterday said he had not been informed about the alleged special session of the state assembly to dissolve the state assembly on June 24 as reported by the media. When contacted by Bernama, he said the matter should be confirmed by the Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi himself. “Ask the Menteri Besar, I haven’t asked the Menteri Besar either. Maybe there is an additional budget for Bantuan Kasih Johor for those who have been overlooked,” he said briefly via WhatsApp. Speculation about the special state assembly session linked to the dissolution of the state assembly arose after an invitation to all Barisan Nasional (BN) state assemblymen regarding the session on that date went viral.
