Kuwait and Bahrain accuse Iran of attacks on civilian infrastructure
Kuwait and Bahrain accuse Iran of attacks on civilian infrastructure Bahrain’s military said it intercepted three missiles and several drones targeting civilian infrastructure, blaming Iran for what it called “systematic aggression” and a violation of international law. Kuwaiti defence ministry spokesperson Brigadier-General Saud condemned what he described as “criminal Iranian aggression” after missile and drone attacks reportedly wounded several people and damaged facilities at the international airport. Meanwhile, US Central Command (Centcom) said Iranian missiles launched towards Bahrain and Kuwait failed to hit their intended targets. An additional wave of Iranian drones attempting to attack U.S. forces in Kuwait failed to impact intended targets tonight. U.S. Central Command air defenses successfully downed multiple drones and ensured no American personnel or assets were harmed. — U.S. Central Command (@CENTCOM) June 3, 2026
