Malaysian Haj pilgrim dies of brain haemorrhage in Mecca, 10th fatality this season
MECCA, May 25 — A 52-year-old female Haj pilgrim from Parit Jawa, Johor, became the 10th Malaysian pilgrim to die in the Holy Land during this year’s haj season after suffering a brain haemorrhage yesterday. Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), in a statement, said the deceased, who had travelled alone to perform the haj, was a pilgrim from the KT08 group and was staying at the Rehab Al-Janadriyah Hotel. “She was pronounced dead at Shefaa Hospital at 5am due to a brain haemorrhage. “Her remains were taken to Masjidil Haram for funeral prayers after the Zohor prayer before being laid to rest at the Sharai’ Cemetery in Makkah,” it said. TH also extended its condolences to the deceased’s family and prayed that her soul would be blessed and placed among the righteous. — Bernama
