“Ongoing social changes and rapid technological advancements are reshaping the disability landscape. Professionals, advocates and community members are invited to explore practical solutions, timely topics and emerging innovations at the 27th Annual Evidence for Success Disability Conference. The event, hosted by the Institute for Human Development (IHD) at NAU, will take place on June 23-24, at the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler. Recognized as one of Arizona’s premier disability-focused gatherings, the conference brings together professionals, educators, service providers, advocates, families and individuals from throughout the United States. This year’s event will feature more than 60 educational sessions, over 40 exhibitors and a dynamic exhibit hall highlighting assistive technology companies, government agencies and disability organizations. This year’s program emphasizes practical tools and forward-looking insights across a wide range of topics, including assistive technology, innovative practices across disability disciplines and vocational rehabilitation and employment for Indigenous people. Attendees will also engage with emerging areas such as generative AI, cutting-edge technologies and disability advocacy and policy through interactive breakout sessions, roundtables and poster presentations. “Our goal is to provide timely, relevant content while remaining as affordable as possible so more members of the disability community can participate,” said IHD events manager Adi Schaeffer . Participants can tailor their experience by selecting sessions aligned with their interests while connecting with more than 300 attendees. Optional pre-conference workshops will be offered June 22, and attendees may earn up to 16 continuing education credit hours. Flexible options are offered for attendance, including full conference access, bundled workshop packages and single-day attendance. Discounted rates are available for students, Arizona school employees and family members of people with disabilities. Discounted hotel rooms are available through June 1. The broader community is invited to explore the exhibit hall and attend the networking reception, both free, on June 23 from 1:30-7 p.m. The Evidence for Success Disability Conference continues to provide a collaborative space for learning, connection and innovation in the disability field.
