Cherland leads the university’s efforts to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic planning, policy development and institutional effectiveness. His work supports senior leadership, academic units and administrative partners by translating complex data into actionable intelligence on student success, research performance and campus operations. Cherland has extensive experience in higher education analytics, with a focus on improving outcomes through evidence-based decision-making. He is actively involved in national collaborations on institutional research and benchmarking, where he has contributed to advancing data standards and best practices across leading research universities.
