Shikshak Sena seeks transfer of Pune education officer over alleged irregularities
The Shikshak Sena has demanded the immediate transfer of Pune secondary education officer Bhausaheb Karekar, alleging administrative irregularities and delays in handling teacher adjustments, transfer approvals, compassionate appointments and other education-related matters since January 2024. The organisation claimed the delays caused hardship to schools and teachers and enabled corrupt practices. A complaint submitted to Maharashtra education minister Dada Bhuse has reportedly prompted an inquiry, while deputy director of education Dr Suchita Patekar is conducting a probe.
