Tractor slams into Sik house, driver pronounced dead at scene
SIK, June 9 — A man was killed after the agricultural tractor he was driving veered off the road before crashing into a tree and a house pillar in an incident at Kampung Sungai Senam near here this morning. Sik police chief Supt Shamzury Saman said the 42-year-old victim was believed to be travelling from his company to his workplace in Kampung Sungai Senam when the incident occurred at about 8.30 am. “Upon reaching the scene, the victim was believed to have suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer onto the right road shoulder and crash into a tree and a nearby house pillar. “As a result of the impact, the victim suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement today. He said the victim’s body had been taken to the Forensic Unit of Sik Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Bernama
