He added that the two sides also discussed US support for Qatar’s defence sector. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman stressed “the necessity for all parties to engage positively with ongoing mediation efforts” in a way that could address the roots of the crisis through dialogue and lead to “a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region”.
