Initial investigations found the boy had climbed onto the roof to retrieve another pupil’s shoe that he had thrown and was lodged there. “While attempting to climb back to the first floor of the school building, part of the roof gave way, causing the victim to fall and injure his right leg,” he said in a statement today.
