“After a four year hiatus, Euphoria is back with its third season, set five years after season two. And with that, we welcome back the star-studded Euphoria cast back to the silver screen. Rue’s in Mexico, still on the run from her unpaid drug debt. Jules is living in New York, attending an art or fashion school with a sugar baby side hustle. Maddy works at a talent agency, which seems like the most obvious path — she was always meant to be a star. Cassie is “happily” engaged to Nate while running an OnlyFans, and Nate is… well, Nate. Luckily for the actors, their lives look completely different to their Euphoria counterparts. Jacob Elordi is taking on the role of Heathcliff in the classic “Wuthering Heights,” while Zendaya’s got herself booked with four separate film releases in 2026. Rue, Jules, Maddy, Cassie, and Nate may still be trudging on with their trainwreck lives, but the main Euphoria cast is anything but. Just case you need a reminder that East Highland High School is, in fact, not real, here’s a look at where the main Euphoria cast attended school: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Zendaya (@zendaya) Zendaya , plays Rue Bennett Born to teachers Kazemba Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer, Zendaya had attended Fruitvale Elementary School, where her mother taught for 20 years. She returned to the public school in 2017 to deliver a hands-on STEM experience with Verizon’s Innovative Learning Lab. “I always say if I wasn’t in entertainment, I’d be a teacher like my mom,” she wrote on Instagram. Giving back to her roots is a norm for the 29-year-old actress. She donated US$100,000 to the California Shakespeare Theatre in 2024 — where her mom worked as a house manager for the summer, and where hshe would get her start in acting through the Cal Shakes Conservatory. In 2022, her and fiance Tom Holland visited the Oakland School for the Arts. She would go on to graduate from Oak Park High School in 2015 through an independent study program. Acting had in fact, never been her original plan. Schafer was modeling in New York, saving up to go to fashion school when the opportunity came along — and changed the course of her life. Schafer studied visual arts at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and had initially planned to enroll in the Central Saint Martins College of Art in London, before ultimately deciding to move to Los Angeles and take on the role of Jules. At UNCSA, Schafer had excelled, getting selected as one of the 722 semifinalists in the US Presidential Scholars Program . Elordi had moved from Australia to Los Angeles at 19-years-old to pursue an acting career, but despite finding stardom playing Noah Flynn in “The Kissing Booth,” he had struggled to land jobs after. Of course, things have changed. Had things not worked out, Elordi would’ve had to move back to Australia, where he went to two different private all-boys Roman Catholic secondary schools: St Kevin’s College and St Joseph’s College. “When I was 15, I was at an all-boys Catholic School and I was deeply unsettled and didn’t know why,” he told Variety. View this post on Instagram A post shared by @alexademie Alexa Demie, plays Maddy Perez Alexa Demie, known for playing the confident, unapologetic, and fiercely loyal Maddy Perez, is a force to be reckoned with. She’s not just an actress, but a singer-songwriter and fashion icon too. She took to the arts from a young age, and doesn’t like being told what to do — similar to her character Maddy, though there’s little the two truly share in personality. For that reason, Demie hated her own high school experience . Born to make-up artist Rose Mendez, Demie attended John Marshall High School and would later get accepted into the Otis College of Art and Design. Though, she would only make it through orientation before realising she “hated school” and left. Despite this, she plans to open a school one day. “I have a very specific idea for the school that I want to make,” she told InStyle. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sydney Sweeney (@sydney_sweeney) Sydney Sweeney, plays Cassie Howard A slightly controversial figure at this very moment, Euphoria cast member Sydney Sweeney, born and raised in the Idaho panhandle by the Washington border, had graduated as valedictorian at Brighton Hall School in Burbank, California. She describes herself as somewhat of a goodey-two shoes, telling C Magazine, “I was a straight-A student in all AP classes. I was valedictorian. I never went to a high school party. I’ve never done drugs, to this day.” In 2017, Sweeney began attending University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study business, though she wasn’t able to graduate — primarily due to jealous classmates and a professor who did not allow her to take a final exam. Mind you, Sweeney was always on the Dean’s List, despite needing to balance college and acting. Other Euphoria cast members Of course, the leads aren’t the only ones with interesting educational backgrounds. Other beloved Euphoria cast members also have interesting educational backgrounds. Maude Apatow, who plays Cassie’s sister Lexi Howard, attended Crossroads School, a private school in Santa Monica, before going on to study theatre at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. That said, she dropped out after her sophomore year to pursue acting full-time. Elliot actor (and singer_ Dominic Fike took a very different route. He attended a number of different high schools in Florida, including Naples High, Estero High, and Palmetto Ridge High School, graduating from the latter in 2014. As for higher education, he briefly enrolled in college but dropped out after less than three days. Then there’s the Emmy-winning Colman Domingo, who plays fan-favourite Ali. Domingo is a 1987 Overbrook High School graduate and later attended Temple University, where he majored in journalism. He is now serving as a professor at USC’s School of Dramatic Arts.
