ExxonMobil, Teach for Qatar renew strategic partnership, commit to enhance education
ExxonMobil Qatar has renewed its strategic partnership with Teach For Qatar for an additional three years, reaffirming a longstanding commitment to strengthen the education sector of Qatar and support the development of future generations. Building on a collaboration that began in 2014, the renewed agreement reflects a shared vision to advance a high-quality education system which can support the country’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy. Over the past decade, ExxonMobil Qatar’s support has played a key role in advancing Teach For Qatar’s mission to recruit, train, and develop exceptional teachers who bring leadership, innovation, and lasting impact to classrooms across the country. To date, the partnership has supported more than 474 fellows in completion of their teaching and leadership journeys. Plus, it continues to positively impact over 62,000 students studying in public schools of the country. These efforts have contributed to improving student learning experiences while strengthening a pipeline of future education leaders. Under the renewed agreement, Teach For Qatar will continue to expand its training and professional development programmes for Fellows teaching core subjects, including Arabic, Mathematics, Science, and English. The ExxonMobil-Teach For Qatar partnership will also enable the introduction of enhanced initiatives focused on digital learning and STEM education — aligning closely with Qatar’s national priorities. These initiatives include continued development of platforms such as Diwan Al Ta’aleem, as well as the expansion of advanced STEM-focused programmes designed to equip students with critical skills for the future. “Education is a cornerstone of sustainable development, and partnerships like this enable long-term investments in Qatar’s future,” said Taher Hamid, president and general manager at ExxonMobil Qatar. “Our continued partnership with Teach For Qatar reinforces ExxonMobil Qatar’s position as a STEM partner of choice and a meaningful contributor to Qatar National Vision 2030 — particularly the Human Development Pillar — as well as the Third National Development Strategy. We are proud to support Teach For Qatar in equipping teachers with the tools, and capabilities needed to inspire and prepare the next generation.” “Our partnership with ExxonMobil Qatar demonstrates a shared commitment to the next generation of Qatar’s leaders, its students. ExxonMobil Qatar’s continued support has allowed us to recruit, train, and place dedicated and passionate teachers into public school classrooms to motivate and inspire students to excel,” said Nasser al-Jaber, CEO at Teach For Qatar. As the country advances toward a diversified, knowledge-driven economy, ExxonMobil Qatar remains dedicated to support initiatives that build human capital, foster innovation, and create a lasting impact across the education sector.
