He said police acted on information and initial investigations, leading to the arrest of a 50-year-old local man near the Time Square area on the same day. Checks found that the suspect had prior criminal records involving robbery, vehicle theft and drug-related offences. Police also recovered the stolen Toyota Fortuner at a parking area of a supermarket in Miri. The suspect has been remanded for six days until May 24 to assist investigations, including efforts to track down a second suspect who remains at large.
