Woman found dead after suspected fall from 17th floor of Kota Kinabalu condominium; police probe ongoing
KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 — A woman was found dead after she is believed to have fallen from the 17th floor of a condominium along Jalan 18 in Kota Kinabalu yesterday evening. In the 6.30pm incident, the victim, believed to be in her 50s, was found lying at the base of the building by condominium staff, according to a report published in Harian Metro . It is understood that the impact of the fall was severe, with part of the victim’s body found separated and landed on another side of the building, believed to have struck glass panels during the fall. A parked motorcycle nearby was also damaged after being struck by the victim. Sources said the woman is believed to have fallen from the 17th floor, but the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. Personnel from the Kota Kinabalu district police headquarters and Kota Kinabalu police station were deployed to the scene upon receiving a report. Forensic officers from the Sabah police contingent headquarters were also present to assist in investigations. The body was later sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post-mortem examination.
